When a camera is having trouble connecting to a Secure-i server you may need to retrieve a server report from the camera to determine the reason it cannot connect. This article will describe the steps to retrieve this log file.
First you will need to log into the camera locally, which can be done using either of the methods described in this article
For most cameras with Firmware version lower than 7.0
- Click Setup
- Browse to System Options -> Support
- Click the link that says Server Report
- Click "View Server Report"
- Select all of the text in the window
- Open a blank document (notepad or Microsoft Word)
- Paste clipboard to blank document
For most cameras with firmware version 7.0 or higher
- Click Settings
- Click System
- Click Maintenance
- Under the Reports section click "View the server report"
- Select all of the text in the window
- Open a blank document (notepad or Microsoft Word)
- Paste the copied text to a blank document
You can now read through the log to determine camera problems, and or send this information to Axis or Secure-i for troubleshooting assistance.
